Hi fellow TTRC Members, This weekend was the Loney Meadows Ride / Campout. Those of you that made it were treated to a great ride with breathtaking views. We left camp at 11:00 AM, Riding around the western edge of Loney Meadow and out past the old Loney dairy following a faint trail that wandered through the forest and put us on a logging road that was a good climb up and around Mt. Bowman to a small, snow fed lake, meadow with great feed and a tree (called watchtower). The veiws of Lake Bowman and the surrounding mountains was great. We continued along the trail (steep and rocky) and connected with the road / trail from Lindsey lake, road around upper Rock Lake to Penner Lake where we stopped for a bite. After lunch the ride took us down the other side of the mountain along many ponds and small lakes (encountering many hikers and a pair of Llamas) to the Carr lake campground and out the road back to our camp. Thank you Deanna, Chris, Don, Bonnie and her grandson Rix (who rode on the back of Bonnies horse, lady, for the entire 6 hour ride) that boy deserves a metal! I hope that you all get a chance to see the pictures, it is one of my most favorite places to ride. Thank you again, David
